CPI(ML) pays revolutionary tribute to Comrade Anandi Joshi, the seniormost member of the party in Bindukhatta, who passed away on May 10 at the age of 93. Her demise is an irreparable loss to the movement and the party.
Comrade Anandi Joshi remained an active participant in the Bindukhatta movement from its very early days and was always among the comrades at the forefront of struggles and mass movements. Until ill health prevented her from travelling in recent years, she consistently participated in every major protest and mobilisation — from Bindukhatta, Lalkuan, Haldwani and Nainital to Dehradun, Lucknow and Delhi.
Comrade Anandi Joshi’s life was a shining example of unwavering struggle, selfless dedication and deep commitment to the cause of social equality and people’s liberation. Her legacy will continue to inspire generations of activists and comrades in the struggles for justice, dignity and an egalitarian society.
