CPI(ML) Liberation has expressed profound grief over the untimely demise of Comrade Anwar Jhankar, who passed away on Saturday, July 18. His sudden death has deeply saddened the entire CPI(ML) family.

For over 25 years, Comrade Anwar Jhankar remained a powerful cultural voice of the people across the Palamu division. Through his revolutionary songs and unwavering commitment, he inspired generations of activists and strengthened people's movements against feudal oppression and communal fascist forces. His resonant voice at the June 5 Jan Sankalp Sabha against the Rampur Sikandar Chaudhary murder firing case remains unforgettable.

CPI(ML) said that Comrade Jhankar played a vital role in the party's major campaigns and mass struggles across Bihar and Jharkhand. His passing is an irreparable loss not only to the party but also to the struggles of the poor and oppressed. He was one of the most fearless and outspoken commanders of the peasant movement against feudalism and the ongoing struggles against communal forces in the region.

The party conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and paid rich tributes to Comrade Anwar Jhankar.
