Jharkhand Students, Youth March to Raj Bhavan in Support of Jantar Mantar Hunger Strike

Hundreds of students and youth under the joint banner of AISA and RYA marched to Raj Bhavan in Ranchi on July 6 in support of the indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. Defying heavy rain and police barricades, the protesters raised slogans demanding the withdrawal of the cluster system, an end to recurring examination paper leaks, the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, the immediate resumption of stalled recruitment processes in Jharkhand, and solidarity with the ongoing student movement at Jantar Mantar.

Torrential rain failed to dampen the determination of the protesters, who continued the march despite adverse weather. Police attempted to stop the procession by erecting barricades and using force against the demonstrators. Despite the crackdown, the students and youth successfully reached Raj Bhavan and held a spirited protest.

They expressed strong support for the indefinite hunger strike at Jantar Mantar and reiterated the demands to scrap the National Testing Agency (NTA), repeal the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and secure the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
