A massive rally was held in Kolkata on September 1 on the occasion of the International Day of Peace and Solidarity Against Imperialism and War, with the participation of CPI(ML) Liberation, CPI(M), CPI, SUCI, AIFB and other Left parties.
Thousands of people joined the rally and marched through the streets of Kolkata, raising a united voice against imperialist aggression, war and militarism. The rally called for an end to wars and violence and demanded peace, jobs, food and dignity for all.
The Left parties stressed the need to build a broad mass resistance against imperialist aggression across the world and expressed solidarity with people fighting against war and imperialist domination.
The rally raised the slogans: “No to War! Yes to Peace!”, “Jobs, Food and Peace for All!” and “Build Mass Resistance Against Imperialist Aggression!”
